Klaus Mosettig was born in Graz, Austria, in 1975.
With a degree in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, in Amsterdam, Mosettig is a leading contemporary artist who specializes in the medium of drawing.
Critically acclaimed both in Austria and abroad, Mosettig’s works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in several institutions including Kunsthstorisches Museum (AT), Kunsthalle Darmstadt (DE), Kunsthalle Krems (AT), Belvedere 21 (AT), Saatchi Gallery (UK), Kunsthalle Karlsruhe (DE), Kunsthalle Nürnberg (DE), Stadtgalerie Schwaz (AT), Kunstraum Dornbirn (AT), mumok (AT), Vienna Secession (AT), Galerie im Taxispalais (AT), Galerie Museum (IT) and Neue Galerie (AT).
He has received numerous awards, grants and scholarships, among them the Art Prize of the City of Graz, the Professor Hilde Goldschmidt Prize, and the Promotion Award of the City of Vienna.
The artist is represented in several private and public collections such as Albertina, Vienna; Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig-mumok, Vienna; Saatchi Gallery, London; New School, New York; Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck; City of Vienna; City of Graz and Austrian Chancellery for Art, Vienna.
The artist lives and works between Vienna and Berlin.
